He was born in Burwood and has lived all his life in Christchurch. Mike was educated at Xavier College and he also studied communications via the Lafayette University in Indiana in the USA in the 1980’s.

Prior to coming into real estate in late 2011, Mike had been involved with running a Tourism Hunting Company for over 20 years.

His background is in Sales and Marketing albeit in promoting Kiwi Safaris New Zealand particularly in the United States, Canada, Russia and the Middle East.

Mike has travelled extensively throughout the World and his favourite places are Thailand, Canada, particularly British Columbia and also Nevada and South Texas where he has many friends.

In his spare time, Mike enjoys hunting and fishing, going to the gym, eating out and he is also fond of writing, having had many articles published in different publications in New Zealand, Australia and the USA. In late 2012, Mike has published a book called “Reflections of a Hunter” which details all his travels around the World plus talks about some of his dearest friends.

Mike is married to Ruth and they have 2 adult children and one grandchild.

Mike really enjoys working in real estate and a lot of his clients have become very good friends.

He has particular expertise in working through the problems associated with dealing with the likes of EQC and Insurance Companies.
